NOV24

'Tis the season to elevate your brand - 'New Year, New Me' is just around the corner, so we're running on all cylinders redesigning websites, building social campaigns, and developing robust brand identities. Here's what's on the forefront of our minds and lives these days (in addition to all things Hadley Clover, of course!)

WHAT WE’RE READING

HEATHER: The Light Between Us is a meditation on finding ones purpose through bonds, relationships, and life's deepest lessons. It's hopeful, and is underscored by the importance of helpers, following a psychic medium on her journey toward enlightenment. Jackson's writing is profound and hits so close to home that I can't help but ponder the power of my own connections and how I move through existence, leaving my mark.

CONNOR: Sally Rooney's fourth book is another winner. There's something about the cadence of Irish storytelling that captivates me, and Intermezzo is no exception; it follows two brothers in the year after their father's death, illustrating two very different lives and incredible contrasts in relationship dynamics. Rooney's world building never fails to amaze me.

WHAT WE’RE EATING

HEATHER: It's soup season! (Although really, soup season is year-round if you just believe.) Acadia, my youngest, and I explore making one new soup per week, and I've been having a blast in the kitchen with her. She's an adventurous little soul, and working together on a delicious project is forming core memories for the both of us.

CONNOR: I love baking. Love love LOVE baking. But sometimes life is so busy, and I don't have time to dedicate to dough lamination or macaron piping, and that's okay because Lost Lamb exists. It's the cutest little bakery on a storied New England main street, with the most perfect merch setup and a rotating offering of pastries and sandwiches. I adore this place and will fight someone for an almond croissant.

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING

HEATHER: Ah, diplomacy. This show is thrilling, the writing is incredible, Keri Russell is an icon, and the production is flawless. It's easily binge-able, and a stark reminder that there's so much more to the way that the world operates than meets the eye.

CONNOR: Arguably one of my favorite shows, WWDITS follows a group of very undiplomatic vampires living in Long Island and their human familiar/servant - The costume and set design are unmatched, and the entire cast is comprised of powerhouses with impressive theatrical range. What We Do in the Shadows is in its final season, but will always hold a special place in my dark-comedy-loving heart.

WHAT WE’RE OBSESSED WITH

HEATHER: The growth of Hadley Clover! We have a lot of irons in the fire right now, from rebrands to web design to social account management to PR strategies and beyond (okay, Buzz Lightyear), and it's so awesome to be able to come to work each day excited about our projects. We really do have some of the coolest clients both locally and nationally, and it looks like we'll be taking things internationally soon... Stay tuned!

CONNOR: COZINESS! Matching loungewear sets, favorite candles, pretty incense holders, rainy, snowy days and snuggling up with the laptop and a big, fluffy blanket in front of the (electric) fireplace. I am the queen of cozy all year, but it hits different when the weather gets cold. If you need me, I'll be bundled up in my living room, talking to my billions of houseplants between Skype calls.

WHAT WE’RE EXCITED ABOUT

Heather and her fam are moving to Spain soon! They're part of the Boundless Life community, so the kids are world-schooled and always off on some new adventure. Connor will be holding down the fort here in the Berkshires, and living vicariously through Heather's reports on the charming villages, beachside treasures and extraordinary culinary experiences of the seaside community.

We've got some huge projects ahead this winter, but no worries - we tested out the time zone difference last winter when H was living in Greece, and we're pretty good at keeping things on track remotely. Jen will also be helping to keep things running smoothly (let's be honest, she's by far the most organized at HC) and is already putting systems in place to streamline communications and project management.

We can't wait to show you what we're working on!
