It's fall, y'all! We're busy little bees, working hard to bring beautiful brands to some fantastic partners this month. And you never know where someone gets their creative inspiration, so here are some of our favorite things right now...
WHAT WE’RE WATCHING
HEATHER: I just recently signed up to AMC+ so I can binge Mad Men... Again... #bossvibes
CONNOR: I'm also re-watching, but my binging is a little more unhinged - It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia for the millionth time.
WHAT WE’RE DRINKING
HEATHER: 'Tis the season for a great maple latte! Espresso (double shot for the busier days), milk, real maple syrup, and a teeny tiny bit of maple extract and I'm good to go!
CONNOR: Nello Super Calm might be my favorite thing in the world, and I add the raspberry lemonade flavor to my giant water bottle every day. It's a calming, balancing, mind-clearing electrolyte powder with ashwagandha, l-theanine, magnesium, and vitamin D3 - extra points for being incredibly helpful in brain injury treatment!
WHAT WE’RE LISTENING TO
HEATHER: Leaders Eat Last by Simon Sinek is my current audiobook listen, and it offers a lot of really fantastic insights that I'm taking with me on this journey to build a powerhouse team full of excellent people. "If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader" - my goal is to be the best leader that I can be.
CONNOR: I will forever be a Jake Johnson gal, so We're Here to Help is a welcome injection of humor when I need a good laugh while I work. They've got the most hilarious guests, perfect comedic timing, and I laugh until I cry often at their banter. Definitely check out the Max Greenfield episode if you're a new listener and are a fan of New Girl!
IN OUR HOMES
HEATHER: Our patio is being redone, and we've taken the opportunity to do some fall planting, including the most glorious Pink Flowering Dogwood tree (cornus florida rubra if you're fancy). It's perfect for our sunny yard, and will be anywhere from 15 to 30 feet tall at full maturity, with beautiful, rich pink blooms.
CONNOR: I'm obviously a sucker for great marketing, and it makes my heart SO HAPPY when I product exceeds high expectations set by social media campaigns. Enter: Jolie Filtered Shower Head. It removes chlorine and heavy metal from the water, is beautifully designed, and was super easy to install (I felt like a master plumber). It's been great for my skin and my hair, and I'm really glad I started using it ahead of the cold weather that usually wreaks havoc on me.
WHAT WE’RE EXCITED ABOUT
We just brought on a new local client called Heirloom Lodge, and we're thrilled to support their passion for providing a simple yet elegant approach to eating local and dining well. It's already been a blast working with Matt, owner and proprietor, whose love of the craft is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Telling the story of this magical place, tucked away in the Berkshire hills, is going to be empowering and energizing.
Catch us around the restaurant often (Connor loves it so much that she started hosting occasionally to help out during a staff shortage) and let them know that Hadley Clover sent you - the menu changes seasonally based on fresh ingredient availability, but the rotisserie chicken and pasta dishes are divine, and if you ask nicely, Matt and the crew might make you the best burger you've ever had ;)
